Meet Our Educators

At Thornleigh West OOSH, we have a qualified Full-time Director, 2 Full-time Assistant Directors, 8-12 permanent part-time staff, and a team of wonderful regular casual staff working between 2 and 5 afternoons a week. All educators have current working with children checks completed, and most of our Educators hold current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training qualifications. Our Educators have a range of skills, knowledge and experience from art, experience in early childhood, studying teaching at University to having experience coaching sporting teams, swim coaching, and running youth groups. With the great continuity of staff, our educators have been able to develop close and trusting relationships with all the children in our care, and the children look forward to seeing them each day!

Courtney King

Courtney has had over 10 years experience, moving from Early childcare to OOSH in 2014. Courtney has a Cert lll and a Diploma in school age care. She has brought with her a wealth of knowledge, ideas, and creativity. During her time at TWOOSH she has developed wonderful skills in leadership. Courtney has a passion for all things creative with a Bachelor in creative arts & 3D animation.

Assistant Director/ Educational Leader

Kodie Daniels

Beginning her journey as a nanny in 2010, Kodie discovered her passion for working with families & supporting children’s development. Furthering her skills & knowledge, Kodie then went on to completing her Cert III in Early Childhood Education and then obtaining her Diploma and making her way into management as Educational Leader and Assistant Manager. Kodie has recently joined the TWOOSH team and is excited to take this next step in her career.

Bec Mazzaferro

Bec joined us in 2020. She has a Bachelor in Inclusive Education & Disability Studies and a Diploma in school age care. Bec has had 6 years experience in OOSH and is passionate about inclusive education and brings this knowledge and passion to the TWOOSH team. Outside of OOSH, Bec is a keen soccer player, dog mum and loves cheering on the Bunnies!

Olivia Hinshelwood

Oli joined the TWOOSH team in 2015, she has a background in early childhood and is diploma qualified. Oli is an all rounder with great a understanding of all things TWOOSH and a passion for supporting inclusion, mental health and sustainability within our service. Oli Has recently stepped into the role of Assistant Director.

Zoe Waley

Zoe joined the TWOOSH team in 2022 after attending Thornleigh West herself! She started as a casual educator and has progressed quickly to our permanent team and has now taken on the role of 3IC for 2024. She will be our Junior (K-1) programming leader for 2024.

Zac Pyke

Zac joined the TWOOSH team in 2019! He began as a casual educator and quickly joined the permanent team where he completed his Certificate 4 in School aged care and education. Zac is also completing a degree in high school education, has a passion for working with the senior children and is taking on the position of 3IC and 3-6 program leader.
